The next contest is, well, silly. Get ready to play World of Dresscraft!

The designers at Blizzard have come up with lots of interesting looking armor over the years; until Transmogrification, you really only saw the latest-and-greatest being worn around Ironforge or Dalaran. In starting to play with transmog myself, I got to thinking about the various looks and thought it would be fun to make a game of it.

So… a fashion show. Our judges are three non-WoW players; like most competitions of this type, there are several categories you can compete in. A separate prize will be awarded for each category. You may enter as many or as few categories as you like, and you may submit up to three entries per category. There will be a forums post for each category- to enter, all you need to do is post your screenshot in the correct post. This is a long contest- the last day to enter will be April 21st; winners will be announced the following week.

A quick-and-dirty guide to making screenshots and posting them will be included in the forums, for those who have not done this yet. I’ll add some links to transmog guides as well, many have sourcing information for each piece. You do not have to actually transmog your gear; simply assembling the outfit is enough. There’s lots of ways to do this- haunt the AH; check out the lonely items in the guild Armor tab; pester your crafting friends; go pillage some low-level areas.

The winner of each category will receive a cash prize of 5,000 gold- this is enough to purchase Master riding and change (based on your factional discounts).

The categories:

• Best In Class. For each armor type (Plate, Mail, Leather, Cloth) the judges will choose the snappiest-looking set of armor. One prize will be awarded per armor type.

• NPC Mimic. As part of this category, you must include a picture of the relevant NPC. Remember, the judges are not WoW players; adding an explanation may help.

• The swimsuit competition- of course there has to be one of these! Design a set of armor that shows some skin. ☺

Here's an entry I whipped in in about fifteen minutes- your GM on a beach holiday, beating down murlocs and improving her Unarmed skill :)

As an example, this is her in the Black Mageweave Vest and Black Mageweave Leggings. I crafted these with ten gold of mageweave off the AH in about four minutes. It took me longer to fly to the beach than make these. With some planning, I know y'all can come up with some spiffy outfits!

(Some of the site's features link to the Armory, and if everyone does this there's cool things we can do... *looks longingly at the raid attendance tracker and built-in DKP system*)
